GRADUATES IN SECURITY

Graduates in Security was founded in 2016 as a response to the numerous questions I have been asked by students and graduates about my own career path, since I began my journey in the security field in 2010. Rather than repeat myself or keep all the advice, information and resources I have accumulated over the years to myself, I decided to record it in one place so it could be easily accessed by all, for free.

Graduates in Security is designed to be particularly useful for any student or graduate seeking a career in the security field but perhaps do not have the traditional security background, such law enforcement or military experience (like me). Graduates in Security also focuses on encouraging more diversity in the security field, providing specific resources to women, the LGBTQ+ community, and Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC). This is not only because it is needed to improve the sector, but because it is also the future of the field.

While I do not claim to know everything about getting a job in the security field, I am hoping that Graduates in Security can go some way in helping someone into an exciting role in this growing and dynamic field. I wish you every success in your search and your path into security.
