Who We Are

Graduates in Security (http://www.grinse.org/ “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an educational online platform designed to support students and graduates seeking a career in the security field by providing them with FREE advice and resources, based on personal experiences of professionals in the security field. We are committed to maintaining the trust, confidence and privacy of our users (“end users”, “you”, “visitors to the website”).

While Graduates in Security is powered by Squarespace, who have their own privacy policies here, we have added the following additions on privacy for your peace of mind. We also have specific Terms & Conditions of use for Graduates in Security.

Agreement To This Privacy Policy

By visiting and using the Graduates in Security website, you confirm you have agreed to, read and understood this Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions of Service and/or any other agreement that might be applicable to you, such as from Squarespace. If you do not agree to any of these policies, terms and conditions, do not use the Graduates in Security website.

What Data We Collect?

Graduates in Security is powered by Squarespace, who have their own privacy policies on what data is collected here.

However, Graduates in Security does NOT collect, sell, rent or trade email lists or any other data with other companies and businesses.  We do NOT collect any contact information, and we will NOT send you any direct communications unless you have contacted us first.

We only have access to information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We also do NOT share, sell or rent this information to any other parties outside of Graduates in Security.

How We Use Your Information

Graduates in Security is powered by Squarespace, who have their own privacy policies on how they use any data that is collected on you. It can be found here.

Returning to Graduates in Security, we have a legitimate interest in maintaining personal information of those who have directly and voluntarily communicated with us by email or other forms of communication. This is only time Graduates in Security will use and retain your information, in order to respond to your inquiry or keep a record of a complaint. We will NOT share, sell or rent this information to any other parties outside of Graduates in Security.

For this information and data, Graduates in Security follows guidelines set out by the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Access And Control Over Your Information

At anytime, you can contact us via email (hello@grinse.org) or via our contact form on our Contact Page, to request what data we have about you. Where technically feasible, you can request a copy of this, change/correct any data we have about you, have us delete any data we have about you or express any concern you have about data policy. If access cannot be provided within a reasonable timeframe, Graduates in Security will provide you with a date when the information will be provided. If, for some reason, it is not possible to provide data, Graduates in Security will provide an explanation.

If you ask us to NOT contact you by email after initial correspondence to us, Graduates in Security will retain a copy of that email address on a ‘do not send’ list in order to comply with your do not contact request.

This privacy notice does NOT cover other websites outside of Graduates in Security (“third party websites”) that can be connected through hyperlinks in the Graduates in Security website. Security

While no service is completely secure, we take appropriate physical, technical and administrative precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information to us via our Contact Page on our website or by email, your information is protected both online and offline.

Online, any information sent to us is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way from Squarespace and Google (“Gmail” is used as the email provider for Graduates in Security). You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and/or looking for “https://” at the beginning of the address of the Graduates in Security, Square space or Google webpage.

Offline, only persons affiliated with Graduates in Security who need the information to perform a specific job (if any) are granted access to any personally identifiable information that we have stored. We also train persons affiliated with Graduates in Security about the importance of confidentially, maintaining the privacy and securing your data and information.

Changes To This Privacy Policy.

We recognise that privacy online an evolving process. As such, this Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect any changes in this field. We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy for any reason, without notice to you, other than posting the amended Privacy Policy on this webpage. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice on our front page. You should regularly check this page for any changes to the current Privacy Policy.

The provisions contained above, supersede all previous notices or statements regarding Graduate in Security’s Privacy Policy.
